About Me
My name is Chika. I use a wheelchair whilst outdoors, and can get around in small spaces with 2 crutches whilst indoors i.
I have been in this situation for 5 years.
I have education qualifications up to degree level.
However my first loves are acting and music. I love being able to proof myself and show what I can do (in different circumstances).
I enjoy shopping, the cinema and the theatre.
TV/Film, Theatre or Modelling Experience
I have always loved the dramatics and was involved in my local church drama group from a very young age. I then chose Drama as a GCSE suject at school and acheived an A * (star).
I have partaken in theatre workshops in the Cochrane Theatre and the Oval House Theatre.
In recent years, I let life get in the way of my acting, but I have to get back to it as it is still my hearts desire.
Special Skills or What makes you Extra Ordinary?
Although I spent 24 years of my life being able to walk, I have not let being in a wheelchair destroy me or detair me from living my life.
In 2003 I fell into a coma after being ill, but despite the doctors and nurses telling my family not to hold out much hope for me, I woke up after 5 weeks.
In the medial staff's mind I should not have lived, but I thank God that I'm here and live to tell this tale.
I intend to overcome whatever I have to, in order to make the best out of the second chance I have been given.
